Kihei Public Charter School wins HealthierUS School Challenge

Congratulations to Kihei Public Charter School for winning the Bronze Award in the Healthier US School Challenge initiative sponsored by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service. This award indicates that the Kihei Charter School has taken leadership in its community to promote principles of good nutrition and physical activity for our youth.  In a October 18 ceremony, the Kihei Public Charter School was visited by USDA representative, Ranae Ganske-Cerizo, who presented the school with the Bronze $500 monetary award, an award plaque signed by a USDA official, and a banner to display in their school.  Kihei Public Charter School’s name is now listed on the TeamNutrition website.
